AZBR does not have any paid positions. It is because of this that our standards are not only high, but absolute. We look for those individuals who want to be a part of something bigger than themselves, and want to do the job because it needs to be done.
We don’t have many standards, but those that we do have, are a must. We are not too concerned about your past, as long as we are made aware of it. Male, Female, able-bodied or disabled, it doesn’t matter to us, we have a place for everyone.

Sorry, but because of our vetting process, we will not be able to complete a background check on foreign applicants. We are in the process of locating an international background check service.
We determine if an individual is eligible for volunteering on a case-by-case basis. We understand no one is perfect, and we are just fine with that. What is important to us is honesty and integrity. This is why we run background checks: verification on information. Criminal history does not automatically disqualify an individual.
Anyone looking to volunteer in operations with us, or join AZBR as a member of cadre must fill out our application first. Once the information is checked, a background check is conducted, and the required paperwork is sent in to our admin team. If all checks out, you are good to go!
You have 90 days from the date you initially submit your application to complete all four steps of the application process. If your application is not completed in the 90 day time frame, your application will be deleted.
Yes. We take information security very serious. We have many layers of security in place to secure your information in transit, and for storage. Complicated encryption, redundant systems and access control are all maintained to ensure privacy. AZBR does not release your information to anyone. It’s not sold, given away or shared without your permission or knowledge. And don’t worry, we hate spam as much as you do! You won’t get a flood of junk from us or as a result of sending your application to us.
Honesty and integrity are at the core of what we do. We as a group expect truthfulness from the start. The additional information we request allows us to fact check, so we know who we are dealing with. Having learned from the past, we utilize background checks to keep our personnel and visitors safe.

Just once! The system AZBR utilizes will update the report on a recurring monthly basis, at no extra cost to the individual. AZBR admin personnel will get any updates via email should anything change in the report.
Wait until you hear back on the disposition of your app. We don’t maintain a gear standard, only a minimal list. Much of the equipment we use is expensive. Understanding not everyone can go out and spend thousands of dollars right off the bat, we typically tell our volunteers to simply acquire things over time. The basics, such as uniform are the first things to get. Gear specifics will be discussed when you come on board.
